Hawaii County Department of Public Works crews started work today and will be working from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday between Henry Street and Palani Road’s junction with Mamalahoa Highway and Highway 180, just south of Hina Lani Street. During the work, which continues through June 27, alternating lane closures will be required.

Following the tree trimming work, the department will commence on June 30 shoulder work makai of Konalani Street. That work is expected to be complete during the first week of July.

Motorists are advised to use an alternate route. Road work is weather permitting.
